FarheenNaveedFarheen Naveed, a Pakistani citizen who recently traveled to the United States as part of the State Department’s International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP), shared this thought about her impressions of America: “Somebody asked me to describe United States in one word and I said yes everything is “BIG”. It’s a big country with big systems, big organizations, big plans and their big initiatives around the globe. Not to forget the big buildings with an eye capturing architecture and big serving size of food. It is hard to fi­nd beggars to give the leftover food.” U.S. Consulate General in Karachi informed.

The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional exchange program. Through short-term visits to the United States, current and emerging foreign leaders in a variety of fields experience this country firsthand and cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts. Professional meetings reflect the participants’ professional interests and support the foreign policy goals of the United States.
