Thirty-one non-governmental organisation (NGO) representatives completed a training course on human resource management held in Islamabad by Associates in Development (AiD) as part of the USAID-funded Assessment and Strengthening Programme. Daily Times reported.
“Civil society organisations constitute a huge resource for Pakistan. Training courses like this will enable these organisations to better execute development projects funded by USAID and other donors,” said USAID/Pakistan Financial Management Office Director Steven Crabtree.
The paper further informed that with USAID funding, AiD has already trained 739 civil society representatives in procurement, human resource, and financial management to strengthen the operations of various organisations over the past couple of years.
Human resource management is a prerequisite for organisational development because it facilitates change and growth processes in the organisation. The three-day course was designed for the middle-level human resource managers.
