UN Secretary General will take part in Pakistan Independence Day celebrations

United Nations Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon is reaching Islamabad on a two-day visit on the 13th August. During his stay‚ he will discuss steps for polio eradication and promotion of education specially women education with Pakistani leadership.

ban-ki-moonThe UN Secretary General is expected to hold meetings with the President‚ the Prime Minister‚ Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security‚ Speaker National Assembly‚ women parliamentarians and other high officials.

Ban-Ki Moon will reportedly take part in the Independence Day celebrations besides attending a number of functions including events on Polio eradication and youth education and inauguration of the Centre of Peace and Security at NUST.
UN Secretary General is also expected to have a joint news Conference with the Prime Minister after their meeting.
